We recognize that local knowledge, ownership, and leadership is key to success. We look to community champions to determine and direct the projects we partner on. Community champions are people who recognize a food-related opportunity in their community and want to act on it. We partner by providing community champions with financial and in-kind support for community-based food projects, workshops, and gatherings. We have supported greenhouses, chicken raising, hunting camps, community gardens, beekeeping and more. To learn about what projects are happening across Manitoba, check out our map below.
