Ala’a loves working with communities. She joined Food Matters as a facilitator for nutrition and food safety programs in 2016. Early during her undergraduate program in 2003, Ala’a started her community nutrition education career as a volunteer facilitator for “Healthy Eating” at the community service office, University of Jordan.
In 2013 she began studies at the University of Manitoba for a PhD in Human Nutritional Sciences. Her research focuses on the relationship between plant antioxidants and health outcomes.
