Myreille FortinProgram Coordinator

Gender pronouns: she, her, hers

Myreille’s interest in nutrition started during her teenage years, when she became aware of how challenging it can be to have a positive relationship with food. While earning her BSc in Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba, she found herself empowered and wanting to share her knowledge. Myreille is originally from Quebec but has lived in Winnipeg and overseas for the last decade. During her time in Cairo and Beijing, she taught various subjects in international schools, including health and nutrition. Her favorite way to travel is through food, whether it is in a country that she is visiting for the first time, talking with the locals and trying their favourite meal, or in a familiar place, hearing about others’ background and perspective while sharing a dish that they grew up eating. As a Program Coordinator for Community Tables, Myreille is eager to help people access the information they need in order to have a more balanced and nutritious diet.
