1 out of 6 Manitobans are food insecure, meaning they don’t have enough money to buy the food they need. In Northern Manitoba, this number rises significantly; nearly one-half of Indigenous people living on remote reserves are food insecure. Rising inflation and food supply- chain issues only exacerbate this.

Our core philosophy is to nurture long-term strong partnerships with Northern Indigenous communities to support community-led food initiatives. We employ our partners and empower them to bolster their own community food landscape through self-determination.

As the bridge of food security work in the province, we are in a unique position to use our strong connections with Northern Indigenous Communities and other food security partners to support impactful food security efforts.

Thank you for supporting us to do the work that we do best.
