Our harvesting partners through Jordan’s Principle regularly go on fishing and hunting trips. When they’re able, they also partner with nearby schools so that youth can join them and learn new land-based skills.
Our partner plants a huge garden in the community every spring, and each year she asks for us to send them more seeds than last year to make it even larger! She regularly plants edible crops such as potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, and cucumbers.
Our partners lead outings to go medicine picking during the summers and bring back maple syrup to the community through the maple trees surrounding O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi every early spring.
