PROOF: Food Insecurity Policy Research
PROOF is an interdisciplinary research team investigating household food insecurity in Canada. The goal of this research program is to identify effective policy approaches to reduce household food insecurity, which is defined as the inadequate or insecure access to food due to financial constraints.
The website of PROOF is filled with resources (factsheets, webinars…) related to their annual reports on household food insecurity reports which examines household food insecurity in Canada and focuses on the cost of food insecurity, current policies and food insecurity, defining the material conditions necessary to prevent household food insecurity, modeling the impact of interventions on household food insecurity, and understanding how food insecurity is framed as a policy issue.

Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA)
The CCPA is an independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with issues of social, economic and environmental justice. The CCPA’s Manitoban office works in collaboration with community serving organizations to conduct research that advances social justice and environmental sustainability.
The website of CCPA Manitoba is filled with their reports and publications such as alternative budgets and infographics which can be great tools to educate and engage staff and community members.
